Billy FitzGerald

Billy was getting ready to retire, and I was the Deputy at the shop. Billy had come by a few times and fell in love with one of the cats that lived in the building.”Heavy” (named for the mechanics -Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic – another story,another time), was a big black cat that was good at catching rats and pigeons in the building. Billy took heavy home, and gave him a job as a barn cat on the farm. He told me several times that Heavy was his best ” mouser”. Again, Billy just appreciated hard work and a good job.
